Conventional embryo collection of beef cows involves stimulating a donor cow to produce multiple eggs in one cycle (superovulation) and then collecting the embryos from her uterus after fertilization.
Once embryos are collected they can either be transferred right away or frozen for later use. We offer embryo freezing and storage services for both conventionally collected and IVF collected embryos.
Using palpation and ultrasound technology, our team determines pregnancy stage, estimated calving dates and can also determine fetal sex.
Our donor managers provide proper care and nutrition to ensure your donor cows are set up for success on collection day. We also provide consultation for managing donors on-farm.
Recipient selection is based on careful evaluation of age, postpartum interval, breed, body condition, overall health, nutrition, and synchronization strategy.

We pride ourselves in providing top-notch customer service at every step of the process.  From conception to calving, the team at Cross Country Genetics is devoted to offering detailed consultations, plans of action, and results that help maximize your breeding program’s goals.
Our main clinic location is located just north of Manhattan, KS on a sprawling 320-acre farm. This facility offers donor housing, haul-ins and is home to our IVF lab.
